Boomerang Got a Winter/Holiday Look!!!

Since yesterday, December 1, Boomerang got a holiday look. Up next bumpers are changed, with snow, ice and music has that Christmas sound. Also the bumpers before the show start are adjusted and include holiday winter motives!! It looks really great and I'm happy Boomerang is paying attention to seasons and holidays now unlike in the past with the previous look which never changed. Here are some videos from Poland, Germany, Italy, France and Scandinavian countries. The look is basically the same for all of Europe with some tweaks in some countries.

EDIT: On Friday, December 14 they introduced a Christmas logo with snow, looks great. Here's a pic I took with my phone.

  3. I only just found this out. I didn't realise the whole network was re-branded. That's a first-timer. in the past, you only had one occasional set of bumpers. 2004 had a few idents with Droopy saying "Merry Christmas, You Happy People!" and would end with a different gag, like carol singers, or mistletoe. "Exciting, isn't it?"
(One them can be found on YouTube, taken from Boomerang Germany).
Boomerang France had the corner bug changed to the logo with a hat and snowflakes, while Italy had their bug with falling snow.

Also wasn't expecting to see announcement bumpers in the Wintery theme.

  4. the other thing on the winter look, its the same as the original. The only shows without a NEXT bumper are the same ones: Tom & Jerry Kids, Droopy Master Detective and The New Yogi Bear Show. I haven't checked Taz-Mania yet.

And though despite Popeye being off the air next month, he's got an ident.

    1. Yes, I wish they would make NEXT bumper for those shows, especially Droopy and T&J Kids which are aired several times a day.The New Yogi Bear Show has a regular NEXT bumper.

Also interesting about Popeye is that recently they even had a different NEXT bumper to the one they usually play, so he has 2 regular bumpers plus in the Christmas one they use a video from the 60s episodes.

    2. ... another thing. It's strange that there's still no promo for Tiny Toon Adventures considering it starts next week. They always have a promo one week before the new show starts, even before that. Hope it doesn't mean some last minute changes....

    3. You mean.... THIS promo? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3qZqAnSfdS0

also, sometimes they might add a show without advertising it. i mean, the classics that came back didn't have a promo, and i don't think Skunk Fu will have one.

    4. Oh, I didn't see it on tv yet. They show so many Romanian ads these days, it's annoying.

I guess it makes sense not to advertise classics that are returning. I really don't understand why are they airing Skunk Fu, it's such a waste of time....

  8. Here's an interesting discovery! The launch of Tiny Toons came with its own ident. But Taz-Mania has yet to have a NEXT ident (i dunno how long it took for Tom & Jerry Tales to have one).

So, currently 4 shows don't get announced before an ad break, which is a pity, cause its not that hard to use the same clips from their previous ones.

Also, did you see the little short bits that come on screen near the show's end credits (the line swirling and a box pops up revealing the next show)? There's a Pink Panther one which they mistakenly taken from an old episode (and i mean the original Panther, not the series they currently show). They've seemed to be getting the Panther mixed a lot in their continuity.

I also found out that while you've just got the series, Boomerang will air the Tiny Toons Christmas special in the UK. and that's been going on for years. Even Before we had the show itself.

  9. And i just added another weird dream on my blog.
No news on a Christmas look on Boomerang in my country. Maybe it will arrive on Low Tidings* (day 1, the 15th of December). or maybe not.
*Low Tidings - actually Christmas on Flapjack but on the fake culture that appears on Darwin the Merman (my show), it runs from the 15th to the 18th of December and marks the start of Christmas.

    1. I think this is cause it also airs in Middle East and Muslim countries which obviously don't have Christmas.
