July 2012 WEEKDAYS

Full July schedule changes will take place on Monday, 25. of June, after the Tom and Jerry/Scooby Doo themed special on weekend. Tom and Jerry Kids will replace 2 daytime Tom and Jerry slots (06.55 & 13.40). This means that the original Tom and Jerry shorts will only air at 21.00 and a few times overnight. The Scooby Doo show is leaving the schedule, for the first time ever, I think. I always considered this version to be the ''main'' Scooby Doo version and most popular one, it was shown the most on both Boomerang and Cartoon Network, at least on those I used to get (UK/European version of the 90s). Scooby  and Scrappy Doo (1979 version that features whole gang plus Scrappy Doo) will replace it at 09.30 and 01.25. Scooby Doo, Where Are You is also leaving the daytime schedule although it will have one slot but it's at 04.35 so I doubt many will be able to see it. A Pup Named Scooby Doo will replace it at 13.15 and it will also replace The Scooby Doo Show at 19.20. Finally, Scooby and Scrappy Doo (1980 version with Scooby, Shaggy and Scrappy in short episodes) will replace Scooby Doo Where Are You at 22.30. This version hasn't aired on Boomerang in ages. This is an interesting switch in Scooby series cause the usual ones that were aired the most are replaced by those that weren't. I wish they would bring back 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo and The New Scooby Mysteries.

There are also some last minute changes that were not planned at first and they are not very good. Help! It's the Hair Bear Bunch is gone from the schedule and is replaced by Pink Panther and Pals at 07.55 and 16.10. Droopy Master Detective is gone after less than a month and is replaced by Yogi's Treasure Hunt at 12.20 and 03.40. Also Popeye is gone from 02.50 though it seems it never aired there this month even though it was announced. I only tuned in once and saw The Jetsons in that slot, which they occupied before June and they will stay there. Did anyone else got to chance to check this out?

In Cartoonito, a new show called Cartoonito Tales joins it from Monday, July 9. at 18.30. Gerald McBoing Boing moves up a slot to 18.05 and replaces second showing of Baby Looney Tunes in that afternoon block. Cartoonito Tales is another live action show about fairy tales. Wish Cartoonito would finally become a separate channel and leave Boomerang for good.

  1. I also tuned in to see if they had an ident for Popeye, but ended up discovering it was the Jetsons. also, Droopy Master Detective didn't have an ident, and was in English dub on the Romanian Boomerang channel. The Hair Bear Bunch varied on which dubbed version, cause it was mostly english, but one time i heard in romanian.

at least Pink Panther gets some more air time, since they only aired him once on Weekdays and saturdays. though The New Yogi Bear Show remains late a night i see.

Also, meanwhile on Pan-Euro Boomerang, they've added Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries and What's New Scooby Doo. the question is when will CEE Boomerang get the shows, and others like Top Cat, Tom & Jerry Tales, Wacky Races, etc..

but i dunno, these changes happen. i personally think Puppy in my Pocket should go.

    1. I'm not a fan of Pink Panther and Pals so I don't like all the extra airings it will get. Wouldn't mind Sylester & Tweety Mysteries joining but don't like What's New Scooby Doo.

I agree Puppy should go or at least have less slots, also I wish they would at least cut the afternoon Cartoonito block on weekends, like Pan-Euro Boomerang.

    2. It would also be nice if they considered airing The Pink Panther Show or Garfield and Friends. in some promos i've seen, they keep making an error on the continuity by using the original OLDER Panther, and the Non-CGI Garfield has been used a few times. Not just Sylvester and Tweety, but there are other Looney Tunes related shows that should air on this network. Taz-Mania? Animaniacs?

Oh, and i suppose Camp lazlo will eventually move, since clips can be watched on the Boomerang website (you can find them on the Polish site)

  2. Yes, original Pink Panther would be nice, plus they wouldn't have to do translation since there's no talking in it.
I hope Camp Lazlo won't come, they also have S&T Mysteries on web site and the show still hasn't come and maybe won't come at all.
I'll post the July weekend schedule today, PP & Pals replaces Dastardly and Muttley, sadly.

    1. The Pink Panther Show would probably be dubbed for The Inspector, Ant & the Aardvark and Crazy Legs Crane episodes. and if they'd considered airing the 90s series??

Its a shame now you've mentioned Dastardly & Muttley are gone in July. though Wacky Races should've come first, and that also aired in English on Boomerang Romania.

i'm currently updating the blog on my old website, http://boomerangarchive.webs.com so i'll keep up to date with what the UK has in store. btw, how are you finding out all this? did you sign up to Turner info, or something else?

    2. I didn't know about your blog, will check it out and put it on my blog list. Do you have any schedules from Boomerang UK when it started in 2000 and while it was a classic network in first few years? I did have access to it first year or so. Also I wish there were some videos online but haven't seen any so far.

Yes, I get emails from Turner with schedules. Got August too and it seems like there won't be any changes, sadly.

    3. i thought the infor from Turner was only for business opportunities. (unless i'm wrong, but i think the form mentions something about requiring a company name).

i don't have any old schedules on me, but i remember seeing one from around 2004.

also, i've been trying to find some old continuity from 2004-2007, some of which was used later on in other countries. you can see for yourself on Youtube. boomerangarchiver2

i'll inform you if i come across anything.
