Since my computer broke down I can't do regular and detailed updates. I
won't be posting whole Feb schedule since there are no major changes. I
know you already posted and discussed it in comments but here it is
again.
Overall, bad changes in February, more new non classic stuff and
Cartoonito crap, less classics:
- Foster's Home For Imaginary Friends joins Boom on February 1. and will
air everyday at 06.20 & 22.10. It replaces Tiny Toons in the
morning and Penelope Pitstop in the evening which will be left with only
one slot in the middle of the night (02.50).
- Cartoonito expands even more, one hour in total cause of the new show
Lazy Town which starts on Feb 25. and replaces A Pup Named Scooby Doo at
08.20 & 12.45 leaving it without a slot at all. This new show will
also air at 18.05 instead of Gerald McBoing Boing. So that's three 30
minute slots for this live action show. It's about time Cartoonito
becomes a seperate channels and stops eating and distroying Boomerang.
Sadly it seems like there are no plans for this, yet. Boomerang EMEA is
even worse, in Feb Cartoonito becomes an 8 hour morning block while the
rest of schedule is filled with same few modern versions of classic
cartoons while true classics air only late at night. So sad...
- New episodes of Tom& Jerry Tales from Feb 11. and Bananas In
Pyjamas from Feb 4.
BOOMERANG CINEMA:
Feb 02 - Duffy Duck's Movie: Fantastic Island
Feb 09 - New Scooby Doo Movies: The Phantom of the Country Music Hall
Feb 16 - The Garfield Show: Long Lost Lyman
Feb 23 - Scooby Doo on Zombie Island
Finally, an interesting piece of info posted by CN & Boomerang
Polish Portal about Turner plans for Boomerang this year. Apparantly we
can expect Animaniacs, The Moomins and Inspector Gadget. No details
about possible return of more HB classics.
That's right. We want more Boomerang, not Cartoonito.
ReplyDeleteI found a video reel online which highlights all the main stuff coming in 2013, like Animaniacs. There's also a Fraggle Rock spin-off coming to Cartoonito, based on the Doozers. But i suppose its unlikely they'll have the original Fraggle Rock series on air.
ReplyDeleteAs for Moomins, i was wrong. i thought it was the animated show they aired on CN UK. but the clips are actually from an older version.
Inspector Gadget is a random pick. Though, since Fox Kids was replaced by Jetix, Turner aired it on Boomerang UK. i'd be surprised if you get the later series "Gadget and the Gadgetinis" as well.
Well, at least your schedule is loaded with more content, than the UK. on the plus side, i can now watch CN and Boomerang (just those two plus TCM channels) again which means i can catch up on the latest episodes, and The Flintstones.
Could you post the link to that video, please?
ReplyDeleteI hope they show the early 90s Japanese version of Moomins. Thats the one I watched on Boom UK back when the channel started and was a great channel. Btw, did you get UK versions of CN,Boom and TCM or European?
I guess its good that at least they are bringing in 90s classic WB stuff and are putting some effort into keeping this Boom version a channel fot older cartoons. Still, the never ending expansion of Cartoonito annoys and scares me.
As for Gadget, I hope its the 80s. version. In Europe it airs on Kids co channel, saw it few nights ago.

I can't post the link, as the comment just puts it up as text. but you can find it on Vimeo under the title "Boomerang Sales Reel 2013". Its in english, but it may be refering to the EMEA network, cause they mention NEW Episodes for What's New Scooby Doo and Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries. i know we had the Anime version in the UK, but the Reel shows a different version of the show. i think it's from the 80s.
DeleteAnd yeah, its the UK and Ireland channels. CN and TCM were added to the package last week, while the HD channels were launched, along with Boomerang. i only get the standard ones. CN Too, Cartoonito and Boomerang +1 are only available on bigger packs.
As for KidsCo, we're suppose to get it, but there hasn't been a UK launch for it. which is annoying, cause they now got Danger Mouse and Sonic the Hedgehog on there.
sorry, i meant to say it was the 80s version of Moomins they had on the reel.
DeleteIt's a "Moomins" version made from 1977 to 1982. The tittle of the series is "Opowiadania Muminków"...yes, it's polish.
DeleteSo, that ain't Inspector Gadget, but the Gadget Boy. It aired in CN British (in my country on 2002 in night prime-time after the TCM Europe).
ReplyDeleteNo, i'm sure it'll be THE Inspector Gadget coming up.
DeleteIt is confusing, cause Gadget Boy aired on CN and Boomerang for so long, and remained airing longer than Inspector Gadget, which was on Boomerang for only a few years.
depends what comes up if they advertise the show.
That ain't Inspector Gadget, but Gadget Boy (Inspector Gadget was aired in Jetix/Jetix Play, And now in my TV DVB-T Channels (TV6, etc...)
ReplyDeleteOn a Bulgarian forum I read someone posting that besides those new cartoons we heard about, 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo will return as well. I hope this info is correct, havent seen it in ages.
ReplyDeleteRNDH1987
Boomerang aired 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo 3-4 years ago (in marathons with Scooby Doo).
DeleteNow CN Poland repeating "13 Ghosts" from time to time...
